On 28-30 November 2018 Foundation for the Development of the Education System organized the second annual research seminar on the study of the effects of projects implemented in all five Erasmus + sectors. The seminar entitled “Evidence-based Policy in Erasmus +. Seminar on research and methodology” brought together individuals involved in research and analysis of European educational programs. The participants were Erasmus+ National Agencies representatives and dozens of researches involved in evaluating the effects of the program, who arrived from 22 countries.

The meeting was opened by Mr Paweł Poszytek, Director General of FRSE. The special guest was Professor Jarosław Górniak, the founder and the head of the Centre for Evaluation and Analysis of Public Policies of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Professor Górniak delivered a lecture entitled „Method matters: on the importance of relevant evidence for policy solutions”.
During the two-day meeting, four thematic sessions were organized on such topics as: Innovative approaches to methodology in educational research, participants reports and their use for research, market research methods used in educational research, practice and possibilities, dissemination and exploitation of research results. During sessions, methodological experience and research results were presented. Two of the four sessions were held in a form of workshop what allowed for a broad and spontaneous exchange of comments and ideas by the participants. This exchange was particularly fruitful with regard to the ways of dissemination of the research results.
