Evidence-based Policy in Erasmus+. Seminar on research and methodology | 25-27 October 2017

On 25-27 October 2017 Foundation for the Development of the Education System organized the first European research seminar on the study of the effects of projects implemented in all five Erasmus + sectors. The seminar entitled “Evidence-based Policy in Erasmus +. Seminar on research and methodology” brought together individuals involved in research and analysis of European educational programs.

Nearly 100 participants took part in the meeting: representatives of 16 National Erasmus + Agencies and dozens of researchers involved in evaluating the effects of the program in 19 European countries.

The meeting was opened by Dr. Paweł Poszytek, Director General of FRSE. The special guest was Sebastien Combeaud from the European Commission, who delivered a key note speech on the Erasmus + mid-term evaluation methodology.

During the two-day meeting, four thematic sessions were organized on such topics as: employment and career paths, institutional development, international cooperation, impact of the program on social and intercultural skills. During sessions the results of the latest studies as well as tools and methodology applied in educational research (both quantitative and qualitative) were presented. Representatives of the FRSE presented information on four research projects conducted by the Foundation, either independently or together with foreign partners.

The seminar was accompanied by a poster session.
